Like many folks their age, David and Jackie met over a dating app - she liked a photo with David and Artie the cat, he liked her love of Nintendo. Their first date was at a dive bar (Cole's) and quickly hit it off chatting over microbrews. They headed over to the Logan Arcade and played a Jurassic Park shoot 'em up game, pinball, and other classics. When Jackie went to catch her Lyft home, David pulled her back for their first kiss.

 

Since then, it's been adventure and shenanigans. Riding every rollercoaster they can get their butts on, exploring the Smokey Mountains, sharing first "I love yous" by a lagoon in Florida, whale watching in Puget Sound, and countless board game nights.

While visiting New Orleans last October, David and Jackie decided to visit Barataria Preserve to look for alligators. While walking on the boardwalk, surrounded by lilypads and the beauty of the bayou, they saw a white egret catching a fish. With the egret looking on, David got down on one knee and asked Jackie to marry him. She said "Yes, Of course!"

They can't wait to get married under a willow tree in August and start the next chapter...
